What is a prenatal adjustment like?
If you can’t imagine lying on your belly to get adjusted, we’ve got it figured out. Dr. Anderson’s equipment and techniques are tailored to pregnant women. There are several ligaments of EXTRA importance during pregnancy. These ligaments connecting the uterus to the pelvis play a big role in comfort, function, and baby’s positioning. They are also what makes a specialized prenatal adjustment unique. Prenatal adjustments are customized to patient preference and tolerance, and often change throughout the pregnancy due to the hormonal changes affecting ligaments. If you are nervous about chiropractic care while pregnant, please tell us! There are so many different types of adjustments and we want you to be comfortable.
When can you start getting adjusted while pregnant?
Any time. Many moms start to feel pulling and discomfort in their hips during the first trimester, and Dr. Anderson has adjusted many women on the day they go into labor.
Why get adjusted during pregnancy?
Did you know chiropractic care during pregnancy contributes to a more straightforward labor with less pain? Yes please. By improving the balance and alignment of the spine and pelvis, adjustments provide a more comfortable pregnancy and delivery for mother and baby. By restoring balance to the nervous system, the reproductive organs can function optimally. An optimal uterus supports the needs of your baby throughout pregnancy.
Dr. Anderson is certified in Webster Technique from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and firmly believes that if you’re under chiropractic care during pregnancy, your chiropractor should be certified in this technique.
